What do you all do for a living?

Graphic Artist. Been running my own firm for about 20 years.

 

Retired Air Force.then Raytheon contractor in Saudi. Now totally retired.

 

Got called into the owners office today.
Said they like having me there and will put me on the payroll next month and not wait the three months like usual.

 

Landscape, underwater and wildlife photographer. Have a gallery and also run some tours to swim with/photograph whales and sharks.

 

I work for our state conservation agency in the Research Division. I lead an urban wildlife camera project, but I also get to assist with a ton of different projects around the state in Fisheries and Wildlife Management. I'll attach a photo of a 150 lbs, 90 inch alligator gar we reeled in on the Red River. We were microchipping them, taking measurements, then releasing them for an ongoing population estimate study. I'm on the far right with the thumbs up lol.

Im an Emergency Dispatcher for a state police agency. Still daydreaming of a wildlife/parks job.

 

I design, implement and support NetSuite information management solutions for multi national companies and I do a lot of volunteer work including being a certified fire fighter.

 

no thanks! Catch those alligator gar just about every time I try to use live bait on Nemaha River.....tiny ones compared to that monster! They're all teeth!

 

Union Journeyman Forman Electrician! After a being a firefighting and forest ranger. Wanted more stability for home and family.

I figure I've gained, at least 12,000 hours, by moving out of California 16 years ago. I'm sure my commute would have only gotten worse.

 

Cell biologist in a government microscopy core facility.

 

Not quite that change, but I can relate to the traffic thing. My father worked 50 miles from home and rush hour traffic on top of it, he'd come home in a foul mood often.

My 30 minutes all back roads each way was fine, it was my time to myself to blast the stereo and such. Though after the working from home full time for 18 months, I have zero desire to return and have communicated such to my leadership.

 

I'm a tech/service writer at an independent repair shop in North Seattle. I've got about 18-19 years experience so far including tech school. I've been at my current shop since 2007, and manager since about 2010
