I do electrical work for friends to make sure they don't burn their houses down, and drink their beer while I'm there. :D

The government has an apprenticeship set up here that you have to go though or challenge the test! It's 4 levels of school with work hours in between.
I'm an maintenance electrician for my job and they put me though school.

I freelance for a company that does Internet advertisements. Basically embedded video ads along the sides of web sites, and we add text and image rollovers throughout the video to drive click-throughs.

Yeah. The company I freelance for has their own online proprietary studio software that we upload the client videos to and create the ad content within. I can work anywhere I have a computer and a high-speed connection.

I only do creative, they have account reps and traffic coordinators who handle the clients, work out the advertising costs and manage the analytics.

I like to make my stuff look cooler than some people do, so I have the entire Adobe Creative Suite on my workstation, but I rarely use more than PhotoShop.

$35/hr keeps me in the truck for a while.

This sounds like something I could get into. I'll have to look around for this kind of work.

    Thanks for the info!

In college we sold plasma lol

After 9 hours a day working....and 1.5hrs each way commuting...I'm too damn tired to do extra work.

I work in IT and am always getting offered side jobs....I used to do it years ago....but when you work on something all day....you don't want to do it on weekends and holidays
