It’s trd or 4x Jbl audio. I think it is as top of the line that you could get for that year.

Yeah no kidding. I carpool to work 4 days a week and in 28 years at my job I’ve driven in maybe 20 times??? I Also have an old dodge diesel that is kind of my beater truck. Actually probably the most favorite vehicle I’ve owned. Its pretty clean but has its share of flaws. It’s nice not having to worry about someone hitting it in a parking lot. Actually people try to avoid that truck just to protect theirs. My wife even hates it. It’s a loud clanky, ill handling 2nd gen.

You bought a 2013 4x4 with 27,000 miles and clean title for $16,000 out the door? and you can find them all day for 13k-14k?

Im laugh my ass off, and calling BS in the most respectful way I can.

OP with 27,000 miles 4x4 and the mods (need the right buyer for those) Id go for sure you can get $23,000 possibly $25-26,000

I see prices really high in OC area but low miles and 4x4 is to your advantage. I think you'd get 23,000 easily but most likely more than that even.

I apologize for being misunderstood. I laughed my tale off, reading what you thought you had read. I didn't say mine had 25K, you did, it's got 71K. I didn't say I can find them all day for 13K to 14K. I said mine came from a used car lot for $16,000, so I figure if I'd found it from a private seller it would have been 13K to 14K, as a private sale is almost always 15% cheaper than a car dealer price. I also made it plain mine didn't have the extras this one has, mine has a 2" lift kit & had new after mkt. 20" wheels & tires (that were immediately sold & replaced with new 4Runner 17" take-off's). I wasn't knocking anyone's truck. His is a very very nice truck with very very nice upgrades, but it is still 10 yrs. old, and the added on parts usually won't make the truck bring a lot more money than a stock truck. A quick Craigslist search found these. 2017 TRD off road 4x4, 3500 mi. $30,000. 2015 TRD sport 4x4 30K, $25,000. 2013 TRD off road 68K $21,000. I don't know if these are private sales or car dealers, also don't know if these prices are firm or negotiable, & the pictures look good, I don't know what they look like in person. Also saw lots of them for much higher prices. It's just my opinion, but to get $24,000 to $30,000 for a 10 yr. old Tacoma is optimistic, but good luck, I'm really on your side.

That makes more sense, still a good deal on your end for the 4x4.

You’re right with prices of 3rd gens coming down affecting his price.

But low mileage 4x4 out here go for a lot.

On the other end people ask a lot for them too. I think he can get 23-24 for sure.

I just bought a low mileage 2nd gen and a few of the low mileage ones for good deals were either smoked in or beat up.

Definitely a big fan of the wheels. Had considered methods but I always liked these on the fj. In pictures though the detail kind of washes out with the tires. Definitely better in person.

Yeah, I don't like these when they're silver, but I like them when they're black. Are these 16" or 17"?

They’re 16”. Not sure if OEM made them in 17” but knock off possible? There’s a graphite like color that looks the best to me but they were really hard to find at the time. Powder coating would be an option but that leaves the center cap not matching. If feel bad for the money someone would have wasted trying to pc the caps. Haha

If you were closer to the east coast I would buy it. You should come out pretty good as long as you are patient.

OP, you have an exceptional truck. It seems like its your pride and joy, your toy. Like mine is to me. It seems like you don't have to sell it like ASAP. If you did, I'd put it back to OEM, sell it for around $18k-$20k and sell off the parts.

I was at a friends shop a few months ago, just visiting, his shop his shop is not a car/truck shop, they rebuild engines and transmissions for offshore vessels. An employee was shopping for a Tacoma, he was looking at a 2018 TRD Pro for right under $50,000. He offered me $30,000 for mine. I laughed and told him I'd help him in any way I can to find the right Tacoma for him.

Hey jboudreaux1965 are Tacomas that uncommon in Louisiana? I bought a 06 almost 10 months ago but I'm still undecided if I'm going to keep it or look for another 1st gen. Mine already has kings all around and tc ucas. Of course 4wd.

The crazy prices of 10yo trucks in much worse condition than yours is the reason I bought new. On a month to month payment basis, I could not justify buying a 10yo truck. Having said that, there is going to be someone out there who is willing to. As mentioned, time is your friend. If I were you, I would ask $26K and see where that gets you. Documentation will be key to a good price.

    Your truck is worth KBB.

None of the mods you listed increase the value of the vehicle.

You are probably better off selling the add ons by themselves like the floor mats, bed stiffeners etc.

The matching spare doesn’t matter. Most people don’t do 5 tire rotations even if given the option (btw I also run a spare w matching size and TRD wheel). Most people will not value that.

Most people don’t off road so skid plates are only a PITA. (I would make a seller take them off)

The cold air intake is nothing but noise. No performance purpose to that.

I think you are better off taking off all the mods you listed and selling them seperate. To include the lift.
You’ll find a lot of people want those individual mods but virtually no one will want to pay you extra for them on a used truck.
