Just curious what everyone thinks of this deal.

2008 Double Cab TRD sport long bed. 4X4. It has a spacer lift on the front but not one on the rear so it sits higher in the front. So I had to add an add a leaf. The truck has 113,000 miles. It has a pretty good dent in the rear bumper, some gouges in the front bumper, most of the fender flares are loose or messed up, has a small dent in the hood and has a small dents or good scratches on most body panels. interior is alright but it could use a good steam clean. It has some other issues like the lights behind the climate control not working, parking bulbs out, etc... truck looks pretty good under it with no uncommon rust. Has some bad blue tint on the front windows that need to be changed also lol. Most fender liners are ripped out or messed up.

I know it sounds like a lot of negatives but overall it seems to run great and I don't have to worry about it being perfect and can use it without worrying much.

I got offered an ARE Z series shell for $325 when buying the truck (has a small gap in rear glass but can easily be fixed and doesn't leak much).

Since purchasing the truck I've done the add a leaf from toytec, method the standard wheels, and the camper shell, and am redoing the front tint today.

I paid $14,500 for the truck and so far have about $1,200 in stuff done so I'm sitting at about $15,700 the way she is sitting now. First picture is how she was sitting the day I bought it and the others are as we've gone along.

Just curious what everyone thinks. (Be honest... I've got thick skin) just curious if I'm in a good position or should have passed.

id say you got a pretty good deal, lower than average mileage for an 08 and the issues you mention seem minor

Ya man very fair imo. You almost want some minor issues so you can drive the price down and have something to tinker on

Thanks for everyone's input so far. I appreciate it. I'm trying to decide now if I want to upgrade the suspension and if I do what to go with. Just don't want to have too much money into a truck in not the best condition.

Looks kind of weird sitting higher in the front than back.

I'd say the price is about right for that year and mileage/condition. All the aftermarket stuff isn't worth anything when valuing a vehicle.

Looks like you got a nice deal on it. Put a bed rug in the back if your not going to off road it. They keep everything exactly where you left it.

I've put an add a leaf on it now so it's level. I agree it looked strange sitting higher in the front for sure.

I'd say you got a bit better deal than I did... I got my 08 DCLB prerunner with 114k miles and a Leer cap for 17k about 3 months ago That included new rear shocks and new tires all around... All stock for now. Mine has a bunch of small dings and scratches and stuff, but mechanically seems to be in great shape. I'd say you did well!

If the little dings and dents bother you just find a good pdr guy, he should be able to take care of most of them. I can't even see any in the pics other than the one on the bumper.

lol I'm not proud of the purchases made at SAMS that day... with new twins I need a few cheese balls every now and then haha. And yeah I've had the truck about two weeks today.... mods will come a little bit at a time but I'm happy where it's came in a short time. Just trying to decide what to do next.

Take your time and get it right first try !!! The " twins " need you to put all extra away for college!!
And NO MORE CHEESE BALLS !!
