    I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
    the first number coorresponds to the width if i'm not mistaken and the second number corresponds to the tallness of the tire wall

    thats why should i go with a smaller width or smaller height?

    I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
    on 18's a smaller height. you could go with both a smaller diameter and height too. Check out the tire size calculator and play around with it a bit. plug in numbers and what not to see how the size is affected in inches.

    Most people I know are running 285/65-18's for tires.
