more than moving parts in a revolver, and when some one pumped up on drugs charges and attacks you do you want 6 rounds of 38 in a revolver, or do you want 15 in 9mm

The S&W 38 holds 5 but I get your point. There's a couple sides to this argument and it can go forever.

For my regular situation, i feel that the 38 is more than sufficient

Ruger SR9, SR9c, or LCP depending on if I am open carrying, casually concealing, or needing to worry about being totally concealed with restrictive clothing. I carry every day and I'd say 99% of the time it is the SR9 that is with me. :D

During my 26 years in the Army, I carried both 1911a1s and Beretta M9s. Thge 1911s were WWII vintage. Since retiring I have carried eith a WWII era Remington Rand 1911A1 or my Kimber.

I have NEVER had a failure to fire on any of the semi-automatics've carried or shot - including the Chech vZ82 I have and the WWII Belgian produced under Nazi contract Hi Power.

I have several revolvers - but would always take the rapidity of putting rounds downrange with a semi-automatic over a revolver. Especially, with a .45, close counts and a nick can be as good as a hit.

Again, for those that post. Lets see what you carry DAILY! Not your whole arsenal of weapons, or what you wish you could carry. Daily carry only.

Lets see those DAILY carry weapons!

I do carry, but can't honestly say what percentage of the time. It depends on where I'm going, what I'm doing, and so on. This is a relatively low crime area, so I may occasionally go days without a firearm. However, I usually carry more often (daily).

As for what. I'm now carrying a Beretta PX4 Storm 9mm Subcompact, but that's changing real soon. The Beretta is extremely nice (accurate, reliable, etc), but I want something a bit more ambidextrous. The wife is left-handed and I'm right-handed, and we want the same firearms (so either of us can grab either weapon without limits).

The Springfield XD 9mm Subcompact is in my sights at the moment. While the Beretta can have either a left or right safety, the Springfield has a thumb & trigger safety (works with either hand). Likewise, the Beretta can have either a left or right magazine release, while the Springfield has both.

If it wasn't for the ambidextrous thing, I'd probably stick with the Beretta. However, I think the Springfield will also serve us very well.

As for pictures, that of both can be found in abundance all over the internet. Nothing at all special or unique about mine.
