I have owned a lot of vehicles over the last 20 years. There is always something about every vehicle I have owned that I disliked. Not to many of them that the after market or myself couldnt take care of. This is my first Toyota I have ever owned and so far I think it is a good truck. There are areas for improvement that I feel that toyota could make that should be included as these vehicles are fairly expensive for what you get. This is solely my opinion.

    1) better in-cab insulation for road noise (I can insulate)
    2) stereo volume doesnt need to be so spread out. (0-30 instead of 0-60) (i can change)
    3) TRD offroad-SR5 should come with power seats IMPO (not that big a deal)
    4) fuel milage is good but my father-n-laws chevy 1500 4wd get just as good
    5) bed is slick........factory installed bed mat should be standard (I can resolve)
    6) Toyota dealer is an hour and 15 minutes away. (hopefully i wont need them too much)
    7) paint scratchs easily (???????? why)

    Positives
    1) great looking truck
    2) There are a lot of Mods you can do to them to customize.
    3) Not a lot of them in my area mostly nissans, chevys, fords, and dodges (I am different :) )
    4) I can resolve almost every one of these issues easily
    5) If I decide I dont like it I am still able to get rid of it in a few years and they hold there value pretty good so we will see.

Overall I think it is a good truck that I can live with and can modify to my needs and likings.

the stupid squeaks from the shitty plastic interior. the blower motor squeaks/chirps, the rear suspension squeaks, the motor ticks... notice a trend? the truck itself is awesome and i love it more everyday, but the stupid noises it makes are driving me insane... it seems like every time i drive it theres a new squeak coming from somewhere in the cab

Lets see. I have had the truck over a month now. My AC whistles, i cant plug in my cell when the truck isnt running, the cloth seats so far has been kind of a PITA to clean. (i should have made them clean it better before i drove it off the lot). When I brake, it feels like the cabose is bumping me after.
I miss my sun roof and knowing my mileage to empty (so convenient when driving back and forth to Cali).

But I still love it lol.

    4.0 v6s are a pretty standard size, 5.6 v8s are small ;p

I really "dislike" the push on/off parking brake. I have accidentally released the parking brake getting in the truck and barely hit the pedal with my foot, good thing it's an automatic and in park.

The paint on my 09 Tacoma is very very very thin. Look at it and it will scratch. Having a red truck is ok till it gets scratched and there is white primer under the paint. My truck is full of them.
