Just wish it was built as well as my 1991 X-tra cab. That sucker was so tight you could barely close the doors if the windows were rolled up tight.

    My major gripes are:

    WIND Noise
    Road Noise
    Tire Noise
    Gear whine Noise
Stock stereo can not overpower the noise
All of the NANNY beeper noises

    This is one LOUD vehicle.

Will be deaf by the time the thing is paid off. I actually use ear plugs, or use my ipod with ear buds on long trips

Toyota will have to improve the Tacoma considerably for me to consider one from the next generation.

    The good parts are:

Great gas mileage- Never below 23 MPG often 26 or 27
    Comfortable seats
    Good ride quality
    Great headlights on high beam
Good paint that shines real well when clean
Nice big area behind front seats for STUFF
    No real problems
    Easy oil changes(good filter access)
Tailgate that closes with the precision of a Rolex
Plastic bed with factory rubber mat still looks new after one year
Rear turn indicators that are still amber colored
Nice rear chrome bumper that seem sturdy under my 225 lb weight

I'll quit now as you guys are probably bored with reading by now.:amen:

Brake Light Switch so low , keep kicking the damn thing, replaced once fixed twice

Squeaky Leaf Springs, just my framing tools in the bed used to flatten the leafs out(I questioned initial pay load ratings?)

Loudest vehicle ever, could here everything in the cab, got a exhaust and CAI to get rid of that annoying windnoise!

Belt, or pulley is squealing when it gets covered in mouisture!

Small pedals, espescially the clutch pedal I cant even feel the thing with my work boots on!

Squeaky Clutch Pedal, really pisses me off at the drive-thrus!

Other then that I love the damn thing, its a Tacoma, it may not be the tightest truck, or have the best fit and finish, but underneath the thing still rocks, just long as you motor mounts arent sinking in or your engine devoloping a mind of its own and trying to take off on you and all that other stuff should just post the Tacoma TSB page!!!

The door handles being different color, whats up with that you buy a $30,000 truck and cant get matching door handles on everyone of them I mean they are only $150 on some of the websites, thats cheaper than the damn floor mats that came with the truck.

All of the open space in the front grille, can we get something that looks appealing besides those black bars.

Speakers...or lack of, they are about paper thin literally.

How about a stock GPS system?

Dents and my wife drives it!
No locking fuel door (Come on, my 93 4runner and 89 Toy Van both have locking fuel doors!)

Unbendable mudflaps that almost touch the road (ripped the front ones off and will cut the rear ones up soon)

Sport seats that seem to stain even if you just spill water on them

The fact that I now hate my 3.0 in my 4runner even more after driving the 4.0 :D

Rear leafs (it's fine now that the TSB was done)

It's pretty loud inside, although not loud enough as I can still hear my kids whining in the back seat.:D

    The orange HOLOWEEN Dash lights.
Not enough foot space. My foot always rubs on the right carpet area and when thats not happening my foot hits both the brake and gas pedals.
    Stock tires look wimpy.
    No fog light on indicator.

Other than that, I have been enjoying my first 2 months of owning a 2009 DC Taco.:)

For me, there is not enough room between the gas and brake pedals for my size 14 EE feet. I'm still trying to adjust to make certain I do not ride the brake with the edge of my shoe.

Tinted Windoz, TruXedo, Toytech lift, beefed sliders, got winch.
Soft plastic on dash and door panels, bad visibility between mirrors and front window pillar, crosswind noise, unused front seatbelts rattle against door posts and tick, tick tick, no leather and weak feeling brakes. Mainly I have a love hate relationship with the taco, miss my full size truck because it was full size truck, but I love my taco cause it is a small truck that it can work its butt off and fit in soo many places now that I live in the big city, plus it so easy to park compared to my old fullsize.
