The only thing that I can not stand about my truck is the fact that the shifter (I have a manual) rattles (or buzzes, depends on what you call it lol) like nobodies business. It bugs the hell out of me.

anyone have a link to fix this?

I've developed a rattle from, what sounds like, behind the glove compartment. Its driving me insane and I can't figure out what it is.

    Headlghts are kinda automatic...

Just leave them on 24/7. When you turn off the ignition and open the door, they shut off.

I had automatics in my Silverado and barely skated out of a ticket because of them.
In California, it is the law that if it is raining enough to need your wipers continuously, your headlights need to be on.
Problem is, when it's raining, it's not always dark enough to activate the headlights.

Talked my way out of the ticket (new truck, didn't realize they weren't on since they were automatic, etc....) and from that point forward, I kept a ballcap over the sensor on the dash.
Enough light got through so they weren't on all the time, but they'd come on a bit earlier in the evening and on overcast days.

21 gallons is a lot more than the 1st Gen and pre-Tacoma got.

You should be able to get 400+ miles on a tank with a 2.7, and 300+ on the 4.0

I dislike the all around Wal-mart qualities! That's my opinion on my 13 taco.

The only thing that I do not like on my Tacoma is the 31" antenna. It hits the opened garage door every time I park in the garage. I am going to look for a 21" flexable replacement.

Antenna was too long on my 2013. Replaced with a 14". The steering wheel doesn't extend far enough or tilt high enough. My 2003 TRD was perfect in that respect. I'm 6'3" and drive with the seat all the way back.

Access to the cab, the tilt and telescoping steering wheel are almost stationary. I have to shimmy in P.I.A.

    My '94 got 18.
    My '08 gets 24+

    Someone is doing something right.

But even at only 18, burning 18 of the 21 gallons (a gallon into the low fuel light) is over 300 miles.

I got a 95 as well. (Got it new!) my steering wheel doesn't telescope either. But it's a pleasure to drive. I get anywhere from 18-24 both highway and town driving. It's a 6 cyl.
