I hate the stock alarm. it doesn't have an auto-look-in-gear option, or a beep on-off option.

    I hate the lock-your-seat-belt beep....it's really anoing.....but i love that i was able to disable :)

other than that i'm prety happy with it....

POS stock stereo. Major pain in the butt. Weak tailgate. Soft suspension...fixed that with 5100's all around. Helper springs in back to stiffen it up some and for towing. Shitty gas mileage. Plastic bed is very slick. Wish they made the bed out of steel. After I have fixed the stuff Toyota screwed up on, the only complaint left is the crappy gas mileage and that isn't going to change. I put some better tires on it also. Wish the dash lights were blue. These are good trucks it would be nice if they paid more attention to some of these details. Not talking about stuff like leather seats but rather FUNCTIONAL items that would put these trucks over the top compared to the competing makes.

I hate that the truck isn't available with a diesel.

I hate that I couldn't get a reg cab with cruise control (I'm gonna fix this soon).

I hate that I couldn't find a reg cab with posi-trac in the whole state of Louisiana.

I wish it had more rear spring and a larger payload capacity.

+1 on the diesel. I would have bought a diesel any day over gasoline power. That would make a Tacoma far and away the preferred truck over any of the competition.

I'm pretty happy with mine. Only thing I'd change is get a bigger gas tank.

Maybe mine is still too new... or I have low standards?

/ don't care about the dash light color since I keep it dimmed halfway anyway
/ I can use a flashlight if I'm looking for something in the bed at night
/ didn't notice any tick... yet
