Dumped the Tacoma, that's all it needed.
Most of the cup holders on my 2023 are useless, but this seems to be a trend in the Toyota world.

why do I need a key to lock the tailgate?!? I know that my fob has a key in it, but that key isn’t made to be used regularly, so why is the tailgate not power like standard on most other trucks?!?

road noise galore on a stock truck… I know that I’ll make this worse, but it’s kind of sad for the people that buy to keep stock.

***Add - as another member mentioned previously, the roof having ZERO sound deadening is insane... I guess I will be doing that as well.

I’m not a fan of my electronic brake master cylinder and my rear sliding window seal that can’t be replaced leaks water if you shoot the pressure washer at it just right.

I haven't even had the truck a week so I should still be in the honeymoon phase, right? As far as dislikes, I dislike that there's no heated steering wheel or rain sensing wipers. Oh, and no personalized settings profiles. My wife took it and moved the mirrors, the seat and changed the tilt. Had to put everything back. Stupid, I know, but having had those little creature comforts for over a decade on prior ride...I just remind myself it's an awesome *truck*.

Future Plans: Raptor line whole exterior. Better upper arms.
After $15k in upgrades and customizations I'm down to only hating the door seals and wind noise associated with them. That's my next project.

If your griping about the shift logic or anything ecu related then give the Overland Torque Tune a shot. Fixed all of my complaints and I'm on 35s with 5.29s. So I had lots of complaints, lol.

The amount of money you can spend and not get factory leather.

Also, how tf is there not walk away locks with the smart key system?

The annoying rattle at idle behind the center upper console. Pushing on the plastic trim in that area stops it temporarily.

    In no particular order:
    1. I miss the full rolldown window with defroster my Tundra had.
    2. The auto-dimming mirror cannot be angled up enough for me to see behind me. I have to duck my head to see what is behind me, and I'm short!
    3. Wish it came with a trailer brake controller.
    4. You can't use the cameras unless you are at really low speeds.
    5. The locker, wheel cameras, and terrain modes are locked behind 4LO.
    6. The stock tires on my Pro have been discontinued by Goodyear! They've been quite good so far, and I was hoping I could get them in a little better ply. C'est la vie.

All minor, and nothing that makes me regret downsizing to the Tacoma.

My 2011 JGC didn't have this, so not a big deal to me. On the other hand, my son's 2016 CX5 does have it, and I wonder why Toyota didn't include it on the Tacoma.

I don't have that (yet) in my truck. My JGC, referenced prior, has this issue, though, with the plastic surround around the forward facing camera behind the rear-view mirror. Same solution, going on about 8 years. I've thought about getting some of that souble-sided adhesive foam stripping and jamming some in there. Never got around to it, though, and my youngest son (who inherited said JGC) hasn't mentioned it, so...

I wish the seats were more comfortable. Also dislike the fact that the infotainment system is so outdated on it even though I have a 2020 with Apple car play and Android auto. It’s like using a sound system from a vehicle from the early 2000’s.

Get a grand wagoneer series 3. The heated leather massage seats in that thing are the most comfortable I’ve ever been in any car. But after you drive it for a bit and play with the night vision cameras and blast the 1300 watt 23 speaker sound system you will be mad for a week cause you will know your truck is just a peasant truck with a Camry engine.

Coming from a BMW M235i that was fully loaded as my daily driver, it’s a world of a difference in comfort, sound, and infotainment quality. However, the Tacoma this is a lot more practical for everyday use, at least it is for me. I now wish I got a premium model to take advantage of the interior features. The good thing is even though mine has cloth seats at least they are heated, and it has the LED headlight package which I really like.
