I’d like to be building an army of taxidermy squirrels.

But no time right now, I do photography, help the gf with gardening and house repairs, the welding and fab when I get time. Wanting to get back into robotics and microcontrollers…but time.

Why don't you try doing the wife? I've always found that to be a great way to kill some time.

IDK she always seems to have headaches? Never wants to do it. Whenever I go on work trips and when i come back and she always seems way happier than before I left. Weird...

I get bored easily so it's never the same and I'm always trying to learn something new. It typically results in having multiple projects going on at the same time but you'll never run out of things to do.

Right now I've fallen into replacing seals on older Crosman 160 air rifles and getting my O.R. truck tangled up in some O.R. trails.

I retired 18 months ago. I admit the winter is much more boring than the summer. Typically I get up at 6:15 and am out the door with my 2 friends walking at 6:30. We do 5 miles up a trail next to the creek by our houses. I get home around 8:00. I do some handiman work for a friend about 3 days a week and so I’m usually at the first job at 9:00. I’ll finish around 3:00. I unload the truck bill my time and take a shower. At 4:00 the wife comes home. At 5:00 I’ll play pickleball for an hour on mon and wed. In the summer I play 9 holes of golf on Tuesday and Thursday. Once a month I’ll do a full 18 holes on Friday. In the evening we eat dinner and watch about an hour of TV together. I’ll watch a game, goof off on the computer, work in the yard, do some church volenteer work, visit with my friends next door, etc. I seem to keep busy with not too much boredom.

lol. She makes it too easy. There is no chase.

thank you Everyone for your input. It’s giving me some ideas.

i also go thru phases. I did body building for a while, then did road biking, did motorcycles, video games….guess I get bored quickly. So looking for new ideas.

I want to find something this year and focus on it. Like learn a new skill, or research something…learn as much as I can about it.

Try photography, but be prepared to spend on it as you did your Tacoma.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
Lately it’s been busy work moving from FL to AZ. But otherwise, I run a Lego store on Bricklink, buy and build way too many Lego sets, home diy, yard work, video games, and of course spending time with the wife and pup(s).

Gonna be getting back into RC too.. kyosho has a new version of the nitro USA 1 truck from 30+ years ago and I need something to whiz around the desert with. Will also let all the old ones running I have from the 90’s… monster trucks and 4wd buggies galore. Gonna be a fun $500.
