I'm a full time college student and also work 40 hours a week. I pay for my truck and also pay for my motorcycle which is what I do in my spare time. I like shooting videos and editing them so I thought about maybe trying to edit some videos for a little extra cash on the side. What are some things you all do to help save or make a little extra on the side

Salvage scrap metal where ever I can and turn it in for cash. My first summer out of high school I only worked part time in the evenings and spent alot of days doing that. I made about 3000 tax free dollars that summer

When I was in college I was a valet at several high end restaurants. Hours were good for a student. Usually from 5/6 til 10-12 at the latest. It was all based off of tips, so some nights were better than others, but it averaged out pretty well. A super easy job most of the time too.

Work 5 days and school from 8-5 the other two days. Its not fun, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I can't sale my bike, then work and school would be the only thing I did.

Well my grandma owned a duplex she was planning to tear down and I got all the scrap I could from that which was around 1000.

Also where I go wheeling, there were a few junked cars scattered around and I took alot from them (after the first full car, I realized what a pain in the ass that was) plus I got 4 washers and dryers from a local motel that was replacing them with new ones. I also checked Craigslist for free stuff that I could scrap

I go to school M-F 8-2:30 (50 min drive each way) then work 4-8 M-F and work 9-6 saturday. Not really any free time, but when I get the chance I try to find odd jobs to do to earn $20 or so

    i have three recommendations:

    1) don't spend on lavish stuff you really don't need right now...
    2) start a Roth IRA for yourself, and put some money in there each year - this will get you in a routine for saving for retirement, earlier is better ;)
    3) cash is king right now, ...be sure to have an "emergency" fund, a bank account/etc... remember if something craps out on you, you'll need the cash...
