I'm a mechanical designer. I worked as a contractor for many years, moving around and doing lots of different things. I've worked on nuke plants (plumbing), been an automotive designer (Meridian), designed subway cars (M-K, now Alstom), designed machinery to make and stack paper plates (Pactiv) and am now designing tooling for a reflective products company. I also do tooling for their solar products division.

My degree is actually in CAD. I know about a dozen different systems, half of which are now history. I am also a hobby machinist, using CAD for laying out the engines I build.
