I started a company when I was 30 with the intention of working my ass off for ten years, selling, and retiring at forty. I got off to a great start and was on track to do exactly that.

Unfortunately I was on the road ALL THE TIME and it was really rough on the family. My kids were little and I had to make a choice between money or family. So I sold early for way less than I could have ultimately made and went back to working for the man.

I'm forty two now and getting a couple of new revenue streams up and running. I'm now targeting 52-55 for retiring.

I hope it works out. You're doing exactly what I want to be doing.

Nothing too exciting... maybe a little rust
It's crazy seeing all the different and exciting jobs people on here have. I like to think I have a pretty neat job and then I come here and wonder how the hell someone gets into some of these crazy fields.

I especially like the post on page 9 by @RelentlessFab about how he hopes to someday build stuff for 4x4s, haha seems things have worked out pretty well for him.

I spend my days as an aircraft test technician making sure the power and avionics systems on 787s work before the planes roll out of the factory.
