That is some pretty good work! I really like the depth of field on the 2nd and last ones. Of course it helps that they are all easy on the eyes. ;)

I am working on the largest construction job in the US in 30 years. Motiva in Port Arthur, Texas has commissioned the construction of 11 new process units that will nearly double the output of this refinery. In 2010 when units startup, they will be able to refine over 600,000 barrels per day.

Actually, this is the equiv of a new refinery and that has not been done since 1976.

Price tag: $ 8,000,000,000 plus or minus a few coins

    +1

I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to oil, but is 600,000 barrels a day enough to make a big difference? I would assume not, being that all of the figures I see coming out of the middle east are well into the milllions of barrels.

I think the point is that the middle east produces oil, and you're talking about being able to REFINE 600,000 barrels a day. Most people seem to think producing more oil is useless since we don't have the capacity to refine more. So being able to refine more is where it's at.

Unfortunately, they will not likely lower the cost of gasoline.. no matter how much they refine. You see, Big Oil is comprised of corporations and not really government controlled. This means they have raised the cost and they will keep it there becuase they can. People will keep buying it. Supply and demand.

    Pipe dreams people, pipe dreams
