    Here's an update:

I'm quitting my Bomb Appraisal job to pursue a career in the culinary arts.

For the past 6 years, I've been trying to find a passion. I tried English/Lit...nope. I tried History/PreLaw...easy, but not entertaining. I tried Speech/Journalism...the most entertaining of all, but I wouldn't be happy with any of the related professions. Then I found out that I could be paid to cook. What are the odds that I would find a career path that makes me happy, AND pays me money?

The Question I believe was what area is this of a Turbine and what happened.
This is a Power Turbine that has 5 stages of rotating blades and stationary guide vanes which are not present, because they belong in the case surrounding the blades they serve to guide the air to the blades. This portion of the Gas Turbine belongs on the tail end of a GE LM 2500 which we use in the power industry. What happened is a Tolroid bolt (an internal fastener) broke and this is the end result:eek: and after said and done total cost with man hours and equipment your looking at 300,000 in damage, that dose not include revenue loss not bieng on line producing electricty!

 I'm glad we don't have that problem. Our ships has many filters to prevent something like that unless someone left a tool in the intake.
