Our owner and our shop foreman used to be in it, but they shared that sentiment Lol. I’m curious as to why they aren’t powerhouses out here like they are back east.

Greed and lack of foresight. West coast locals were poisoned with hypocritical business agents and managers, took union funds and used them for private endeavors all while slapping abusers on the wrist. We pay 3 different membership dues now and even though we make a lot on paper to pay for our benefits, my checks are similar to non union wages take home. And our pensions are no longer guaranteed for life not is our 401k matched. If you get in with a good private contractor it's almost better these days. Our jobs are large (hospitals, stadiums, ground up hi-rise) but our positions are no longer guaranteed.

So brave of you to “out yourself” on here, LOL! :crapstorm:

There is a lot of disdain from some TW members for “stealerships”. I used to sell Hondas for about 6 years, tough business. There are some really fair, and some really shitty people in the car business (as in life).

    Congrats on the milestone!

    Thanks for the welcome.

If people have a disdain for a guy going to work everyday to provide for him and his family, that’s their problem.

As you said, there are shitty people in every profession. One of the beauty’s of selling Toyota’s is you don’t have to lie or make excuses to sell it. Just show people what fits their needs and the rest falls into place.

And this is why you are successful. Sales 101.

As for "stealerships"...every Tacoma came thru one originally. If they want buy direct, call up Tesla.

Amen, my brother! Selling Hondas was like that. The biggest challenge was dealing with domestic buyers. Convincing them to trust in the longevity I promised, and explaining that they’d never see $7500 off a new Accord, lol
