I’ve been a lifeguard for the last 4 summers but I might switch over to my family farm for the next few summers.

Every fall I work 3 weekends making kettle corn at an apple harvest festival and make about $1000 in 6 days which is a lot more than I get for lifeguarding (I made $168 in tips yesterday). The guy I’ve worked for the past few years makes an unbelievable amount of money off of his kettle corn mini franchise (I’m talking huge houses and a different RV every year) it’s pretty incredible.

I’m planning on being a dentist after the next 7 years since I’m a freshman in college now. I would be taking over my dad’s small town dental practice.

How far are you from Lynchburg? My son and friends went somewhere near Lynchburg picking apples last weekend.

Pretty cool house! I still can't understand anyone wanting to spend that kind of money to live in a subdivision.

I'm an electrician. I've wired all kinds of houses, hotels, restaurants, factories, etc. I'm fortunate to have worked in a wide variety of situations.

My previous employer did a lot of high end homes, service, and a lot of stand by generators. I've hung some one of a kind light fixtures. I've wired some cool machines. I've worked with all kinds of people. I like my job.

Here's a picture of a handmade light fixture I got to install a few years ago. This is a good example of what I liked about my previous company. We had a number of wealthy customers who always called us when they needed work. No-one else has ever hung a light like this before or since. I think that's pretty cool!

I'd say go through flight school and at least get your private pilot certificate before you begin building your helicopter.

Yeah its crazy and I bet you some couple with one kid in their late 30's will probably buy this place. Lot of wealthy people and this is just the new suburban way to live. They are usually 750-800K though...that house was a "parade house" where a bunch of builders build them and they are open for 2 weeks for people to tour. Its actually a "good deal" at that price since being a parade house we got a lot of the materials and some labor cheaper than usual. Probably be 1-200K more if we were to rebuild it next door (which we would never do lol)

Its fun making things happen for clients though. More often than not I get to also "make it work" from a plan perspective, just as you do with getting the electrical stuff to match their wishes and wants. Does make it fun / rewarding.
