Was working with a huge company for 15 years, about 6 months before Covid hit they said I couldn't work
from home ( off-site outta state ) anymore. Offered me 25k to move BACK ( still was unpacking in my new place ).

Decided to retire - so the wife works at a great place and I'm drawing so-so-security.

Hobbies: holding 4x4's and 2x4's for the wife as she is cutting them to perfection
for various building projects. Laying pavers for the wife so she can erect said building projects on them.

Camping/ walking about the desert with my Nikon in hand/ online poker/
spending way too much time on this site/

I've become a pretty darn good cook, I clean also -

I've gone Vegan and folks... trust me here..... it's not bad at all and the affects are astounding in a matter of weeks..the plumbing is working better than it has in 2 decades LOL ...

for the last 14yrs worked in behavioral health as a crisis counselor, doing safety assessments and resolving crisis situations out in the field for acute stuff like suicidality, psychosis, serious drug abuse, etc

Was a pipe fitter for around 6-7 years after graduating high school. Quit that gig a month ago as I was tired of getting laid off every two months.

I am now an apprentice cabinetmaker. So far I love the job, much less stressful. The only kicker is that I took a nearly $10/hr paycut. I did pay my truck off however prior to resigning, so the cut in pay will really be hardly seen.
