Once you see how the stuff is made and how dirty the business is it just loses all magic. Working in any food service industry will also give you an appreciation for the ignorance of humanity and then you just lose your appetite anyway.

I was going to be a career Army guy, but a partially opened parachute took care of that. I was in for 6 years.

So then I worked a carpentry job in Pebble Beach while I went to school after I got out.

Switch majors twice and worked as a project engineer for Skanska USA Building (a huge commercial construction company), making $12K less than everyone with a degree.

Now I'm a student working part time as an office manager for a consulting arborist; but I also do carpentry, web/graphic design work, misc computer/software setup and repair - and have my own little side company dealing in tactical supplies for law enforcement and military...or whoever.

Oh and I might switch my major again - and get a job in resource conservation.

:D Oh hell, I don't know what I want to be when I grow up :D

That's why I married an EMT.... :D When those home-made explosives go awry. Not to mention she grew up using them with a friend that made them too... heh

Oh when my father in law, brother in law, and myself have a few and think it's cool to shoot oxygen tanks with their .270......
