Starting 15th year at ICE. Used to be fun Now it's just an agency aimed at actively releasing everyone . But at least we give them paperwork so HQ can say we're doing something

 

23 years as a high school English teacher. The last two were hell with Covid and the return and mask mandates and kids that haven't been in class in forever. I still love working with kids but I'm exhausted.

 

My last 5 years were at an inner city High School. The same High School I went to! Some people have a hard time grasping why that was significant. Best 5 years of my teaching career.
The kids knowing I grew up in their neighborhood gave me some "street cred"

Recently left a job delivering for American Tire Distributors to go into solar sales and consulting. I picked a great time of year to do it though

Process technician. We make the 10% of engine oil and hydraulic fluid that keeps it from burning, keeps it flowing, cleans what it's in contact with, basically the expensive stuff that makes the oil special. I'm one of the minions that work at the chemical plant of a refinery. Most of the time i love my job, I work an EOWEO (every other weekend off) 12 hour schedule that swings from days to nights. I've been doing it for about 20 years now.

I'm the guy, who does all the admissions paperwork at a hospital before you are seen. and a a whole lot of other not cool things. recently moved to a smaller clinic from years in an Emergency Room

 

I wish I could own a cattery but I'd never part with any of them

 

I'll chime in! I worked at bike shops throughout high school and college but recently joined the Marine Corps. But, I do have a finance degree I plan on using one day (maybe).
