Holding two degrees in forestry, 30 years later I find myself as quality control and ISO systems manager for a medical plastics company.
Priors include arborist, process engineer, stack tester, R&D associate and technical service.

    Retired, two years, now.

After my three-year Army hitch, where I had the opportunity to learn some basics of bulldozer operation (not my primary MOS, which was Motor Transport Operator), I pursued heavy equipment operation in construction through the Local 12 union.

Left the union after a couple of years to operate heavy equipment with the County of Orange, California, where I worked the next 30 years.

Retired from there, but was too restless to only engage my hobbies, so I hired on as an equipment operator with Caltrans performing maintenance on State highways for three years.

Left Caltrans and hired on with the Riverside County, California road department, now performing maintenance on County roads, for seven years.

After 40 years of government employment, I finally had enough. So far, no urges to again seek employment, but, if grocery prices keep going up....
