    ya the fireground can be super hazardous, burnt up stumps and staubs are the perfect height to catch a skid and cause dynamic rollover, plus the LZ's are almost always super dusty, full of FOD, and smoke. No question, our Sticks are top notch! Oh and we buy every round for them too!

    Got certified in MIG last week, Vert, Horiz, and upside down (dont know the correct classification for the last) up to half inch. Includes stainless, mild, chomium, up to 24" pipe. Pretty stoked to add that to the resume.

    Damn. My dad did wildland/rural firefighting but never jumping out of a heli! He was a ground crew boss, they just drove to the fire and stepped out of their trucks. Awesome job for you. :)

    Full time job is now aerial survey pilot. We do everything from shooting lasers at the ground, marine mammal & bird surveys to the occasional charter. Part time flight instructor and aerobatic/airshow pilot.

    It's a good time, but I'm on the road A LOT.
