You can successfully dispute a CC charge that is over a year old?

^Imo i think this is your best bet. Go out, get several quotes to have it re-powdercoated. Send them the quotes saying you've sourced 3-4 local quotes to re-do the powder coating. And then rather than wait around for them to "come up with a resolution", you suggest the resolution yourself. "I'd like to suggest that either AdventureReady or RLD reinburse me to have this re-powdercoated -- is that fair?"

Because if you dont come down with a suggestion, this will kept being swept under the rug

You're not incorrect. But Toyota has field staff to make sure something happens or they'll get you to another dealer. And you can go drop it off at the dealer.

I have been begging everyone at RLD to help me get something in place to get my truck fixed. The owner, local rep and factory are all on the email chain. None of them will offer to do anything.

I got a quote for the frame to be repainted. They didn't respond when I sent the estimate and won't agree to stand behind the doors if the same thing happens to them.

I've asked them to take it back many times. They won't do it.

TO add to this - I'd message it also that "This would be the most cost effective option for everyone. No additional need to ship a new cap from RLD, no need for AdventureReady to have to then re-ship the new cap and deal with the logistics to send it to you in California etc." If you can frame this that this is the easiest solution for all parties i'd hope they can be reasonable on this.

It has a 2 year warranty. They should make it right. However, their notice at the website is a bad omen. You might be screwed.

Ha! I'm definitely screwed. You and me think alike.

I'm an angry German so I'm going to beat this horse for a long time. I'm eventually going to have to breakdown and sticker-bomb this piece of shit I think.

Try reaching out to Rhino Adventure Gear. See if they can assist with the warranty work.
