Yes, but that's too much pre load on that spring. Best to remove the spring and get one that will lift the truck without squeezing the spring that much.

I'll give you a clue. If you're almost fully drooped at ride height it's too much pre-load. lol

See that's what I mean, idk enough about suspension, but my foxes have the same amount perceivable preload, and I'm barley level. Of course not all coilovers are equal but I don't fully understand all the geometries and ratios.

What springs do you have on those foxes... 600lb, 650lb, or 700lb
    13, or 14 inch

With that much per-load and the i4 sitting up front, I just want to know how your truck rides?

I’ll go out on a limb here and say it probably rides something similar to a horse drawn carriage with wooden wheels.

lessen your preload, get some adjustable UCAs, align it and call it a day.

    Ok, that poses some issues.
    How does the truck ride?
Do you want to lift it more?
Are you disappointed in what you have or got?

Controlled, no, no. But I'm having trouble understanding preload and how it's possible to imfer from a pic. Like I said, mine seems the same.

    Put it on the ground:facepalm:
It on jack stands of course you are at full droop and thats maybe half of what he has on his I would say.
OP is on the ground and at full articulation. Nowhere else to go but bottom out

How can u tell? I mean obviously it's not on the ground but how does one determine preload? That's my whole point.

Preload is for lift, but that much lift goes beyond the limits of the shocks down travel. That's why they have limit straps. To keep the front from bottoming out the shocks and ruining the seals and shafts.

Preload is the amount of threads showing on the coil over. But depending on the spring specs preload will affect the truck differently. That’s what he’s getting at.

Don’t listen to every bit of information you get from an unknown source. There’s too much bad info out there.

Icon shocks typically come with 13”x650# springs while most Fox come with 13”x600# springs. Assuming trucks are similar they would have different ride heights due to spring rates, assuming the preload is close.

No, it’s not. That’s a common reference measurement but there are far too many variables between trucks and shock manufacturers. Read above.

It's just so voodoo for me. I literally know nothing about suspension, but it seems the amount of threads showing is close to the same. If I don't completely understand it's usually hard for me to grasp.
