    Dodging tumbleweeds
Sliders also provide protection from door dings and also help you get to your truck bed to hook up a tow rope to the bumper when you’re stuck on slick rocks in a creek.

The things that go on the side your truck to protect your rocker panel. They stick out so when people throw your the door open it hits that instead of your truck. You can just get ste on the side. Sliders are only useful if you plan on playing in the rocks

Like a steel bar to stand on? I had an aluminum 20” step on it but that was the first thing I took off.

Sliders are like this, vs nerf bars which are just to give you someplace to step and hang low

Nice find. Other than bigger tires, I'd suggest you keep it OEM. Resale value will keep climbing.....

I love it! I have a 96 just like yours and I'm California and I don't have all the Ca. emissions on the engine like the EGR valve and dual cats. It is a 48 State vehicle. I bought it that way from my work. My buddies that have Taco's have all the Ca. emissions on them and they are kind of jealous. Do I have a unicorn of some sort?
    Anyhow I love the 1st gen Tacoma's!
