i've got a tacoma for my dream truck..., but i tell ya.... a tundra would be the way to go...... my bro has had two... and they can handle an amazing amount of tow cap... i have seen him pass several vehicles (while towing a 25 foot aluminum crew boat) up one of the steepest hills around)... and the comfort level is second to none... but having said all that... for what i use it for... i LOVE my tacoma.... (i've been lusting after a tacoma for over 10 years)... my last toy was an 84....... and i still miss it.

I agree that it is better than the old Tundra, but it's stuff like this that makes me wonder.

Yea, I agree. Ram isn't on my list. They have never held resale value and their tranny's are iffy. The new one may be better but I am partial to F150 and Sierra.

    This is hideous :puke:

When it comes to looks, it all comes down to trim IMHO. For the Ford's, the FX4 is the offroad package. No idea what it stands for, LOL.

OMG. GORGEOUS! Tundra all the way, and we all know if you want a long term vehicle the toyota will out perform the rest.

Yea, that is nice, but mine will remain stock. So, I'm judging off factory form.

WOW after seeing this it would be hard to believe the rear end on that Tundra could ever have a centered integrity again. Probably would have a lean which drives me nuts!

Go Tundra bro. Here is mine...i'm looking to get a tacoma to compliment this beast.

I choose the tundra for quality. I have had friends want to drive their fords and GMC off cliffs when they hit about 70k. I also like the look of the Tundra and I have owned toyotas before and they have always been good to me. You get what you pay for.

Nah it is just a 4x2...no need for the 4x4 it is used for hauling stuff. That is why I am looking into getting the Tacoma in 4x4. Thanks

If you want a Sierra, you better get one quick. Nice rigs, right now, though I suspect they will start putting hamster wheel engines in them now that they are Government Motors. If you want a Dodge, just wait a few months and you should be able to pick up a used 09 for fifteen bucks, twenty if you want a 4X4.

If you read Consumer Reports, it looks like Dodge as a whole tanked not only financially, but in terms of vehicle craftsmanship.

We have a '99 Dodge Cummins. Yes, it feels like it's got a freight train for a motor and pulling a 24' 5th wheel is absolutely nothing, but I wish the rest was built half as well. We are currently in for our 4th major transmission-related problem, and we have ~90k mi.

I've heard dubious reports on the Tundra, so I would go in with eyes wide open. I wouldn't go simply on the fact that "it's a Toyota".

If I had to buy in 2 seconds, I would go for the Chevy. Comparing between our Dodge and a Chevy, it seems the you get more with the Chevy.

Ultimately, I'd buy a Toyota with a Cummins Diesel and Allison Transmission... but they don't make that on planet earth yet.
