TRD cat back exhaust, rain visors, limo tent on back pasenger windows and 35 percent added to back factory tint window. 35 on front driver and pasenger side. Sport pedals, all weather fl mats, roof rack, front skid plate , BFG ALL TERAINS including spare. ALL installed by dealer.
If yours is powder coated due you have to repowder coat every now
and then? Does anybody use a paint like rustoleum for easy touchup? Also would like to know if anyone has experienced rusting on there sliders? Rather it be All pro or Shockworks or Stubbs are any other kind of slider. I would think that once the paint was gone they could start to rust if not repainted. Thanks for your help guys.

I use rustoleum hammered finish. Lowes or HD. Not to match powdercoat though.

The sliders will rust if the paint comes off in anyway. My philosophy is that as long as the join welds aren't rusting then some surface rust along the tubes is okay.

I have to touch up my sliders after major excursions. I'm using Rustoleum hammered.

What you see in this picture is my slider after a 200 mile excursion through Death Valley. I hauled ass on some gravel roads and I don't have any mudguards and my sliders took a beating. You can see too that there is a major rub on the outside slider from a rock.

The beauty about repainting them is that it's so easy. Wash them off, dry them, insert cardboard between truck body and sliders and go to town.

Powder coating makes sense only if the truck is not going to be wheeled offroad.

Sliders showed up today...I had them powder coated against my better judgement and they arrived with a few chips and a gouge (thanks to the fedex driver who told me their loaders are paid 13/hr and just throw packages onto the trucks).

Anyway, I knew about using rustoleum for major rust repair but for these small chips I was wondering if anyone has used Air-Dry Acrylic Paint?... I found some online that is supposed to work well for powder coat touchups.

    thanks to all in advance

I use POR15 which is a super durable finish and rust preventative. when it wear off just brush or spray it back on and it both covers and rust converts.
