What do you know about Tacoma World?

Greetings all, I've been a lurking forum member for a while, and last year became the proud owner of a '17 sr5 taco.


Anyways, I have an assignment for my college english class and I kinda need your help. Long story short, we have to write a paper about a discourse community (naturally I picked Tacoma World) and part of the paper is interviewing someone with a "higher level of membership" within the group- basically just answer a few short questions and it would help me greatly. Feel free to answer any or all of these and I will love you forever and buy you tacos if I ever meet you in person.

1) What are the group's goals?
2) What are some of the levels of membership you think of? How are different levels achieved?
3) Who are the "experts" and what is needed to become one?
4) What are the preferred methods of communication among the group? What are the most & least used?
5) What are some of the special terms/vocabulary used within the group and what do these words mean?

1. It's a forum, a cyber gathering place for people with shared interest ( Tacomas ) Theres no real "group goals" Not even a mission statement I'm aware of..
2. There is no tier level of membership, just members and a few moderators..
3. I don't know who the experts are , but there's a lot of knowledgeable folks here & we have a great knowledge base..
4. I'd think most now is by social media device..
5. If you've been lurking for a while, you should know..

Yeah, I know and if "higher level of membership" refers to number of post /threads made then yeah we're mere infants... But there is no level of membership i.e; "gold" "diamond" "platinum" member status...
