9 years of driving mine in Massachusetts winter..including the bad one we got a few years ago. No issues with getting stuck yet.

Massachusetts is considered clean for us Vermonters when it comes to buying them. Fluid film and rinse offs at the spray wash center for salt battle.
I wish I could figure out something cool to haul in the back but keeping it light..

    1. Much easier to drive around town than my Tundra. 2. Dig having a 5 speed again. 3. The reliability of the truck since I live in the mountains and towns are generally 45, 60 and 90 miles away. 4. Simplicity. 5. I live at over 7,000 foot elevation and regularly pull an 8,300 hill and in 4th gear I go right up it at 70/75 mph. 6. I get a lot of compliments on how cool it is.

Our trucks are twins, maybe it reminds them of what Toyotas used to look like. Yea I just buzzed up to Burlington at 80 today. With alloys and light tires I find if I get into 5th and just haul ass I dont always have to down shift, kinda fun game. But I also see it as a truck and you have to shift a lot, part of the fun and function. And then you get to the big hills, and yea you might go a bit slower.

Since this has the 2.7 liter and possible the drivetrain smaller (under 9 quarts total) its cheaper to change fluids, maintenance?

Also thanks the link who ever sent it, Iv seen the pull out platform thing, it makes a lot of sense. But I was thinking of a gatling cannon, 12 inch diameter telescope, inflatable fun house, food for homeless, kayak, surfboard..

Are we talking I-89? I am a former Vermonter (NH now), and go to/through Burlington a few times a year - I have family in Colchester and up in Alburgh. I'm too old to drive at 80, but I do 70 all the way. I only have to downshift to pull into the rest area :) It's a nice drive.

Yup 89 to Burlington Vermont, dont always drive 80, just got new tires and wheels on and felt good hauling ass. I always wonder about relocating to places outside B town like Colchester. Oh yea had to give a guy in a 2017 chevy a jump because his truck didnt start, makes me like my truck that much more, 2.7l starting big 8 cylinder, the more complicated the more it brakes.
Some one even gave me a CBD hemp joint the former Governor of Vermont grew himself!! God I love Vermont.

Yah, I miss Vermont sometimes. My family lived in Plymouth in the 70's. I went off to college and my folks moved to Woodstock. Got a BS and MS from good ol' UVM (with 4 years in San Diego in between). Moved to NH in '92 for a job. Burlington was a great place to live back then, maybe still is, though it's very changed from my day.

Colchester is a nice area, and a quick buzz to Burlington.

I’ve had two 5 lugs and one 6 lug with 4x4 and I always wanted to make them more big truck like. After owning bigger trucks it makes you appreciate the the small simple truck. I’ll probably get another one and I’ll just leave it stock/ish.

I had a '92 Regular Cab and loved the short wheelbase.

Several years ago I had a F150 DC for a week. More recently I drove a Nissan Frontier DCSB for 2 months. Both were decent enough but I really liked my truck better when I got back into it.

We were up in Burlington Vermont the summer before Covid hit. Nice town and great food. Greetings from Monmouth County New Jersey.

Greets back at ya! I used to go to farm land Jersey as a kid. People have no idea that Jersey isnt just Newark.
Im looking forward to some off roading this summer. The nice thing about Vermont is theres plenty of trees to pull your self out with a winch.

Didn't get time to explore really, but I was in Newark in 2018 for a concert at the Pru. Went to AC the day after for several days, stopping at Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty as well.

    LCE headers, Intake spacer,
2010 regular cab 4 wheel drive, 5 speed. Probably my last pickup. Opened up the air box, pulled the secondary air filter, added the 2 inch intake spacer, and a set of Lce headers.
Put in synthetic gear lube in differentials and transfer case, and gl4 synthetic in the 5 speed. Also a tube of molybdenum additive in each. Runs great, and I enjoy a stick shift again!

I’m coming up on 2 years of ownership of my 2011 base 4x4. Before my father passed, we talked about missing driving a manual. When my 2005 Ford diesel needed another oil cooler after less than a year, I decided I was done. Since we were in the middle of the pandemic, and my company was effectively shuttered, I needed something cheap and reliable. Not to mention the fact that it’s easy to work on. I’ve managed to make it my own, and it’s so much fun to drive, still has plenty of power for the highway, can tow my little trailer and RZR down to the dunes as well as haul my gear for work. I can also nearly turn around in my driveway! Between the wife and I, this is our 5th Toyota or Scion vehicle, and I’m happy to be back in one again, especially something as capable as this little truck.
