At home just an old snapper with an 8hp Briggs and Straton motor has had the same dead battery for 5 seasons but it starts on the first pull 90% of the time after it's been de-winterized.

Other: Stihl Weedeater, since my front yard is the size of my office cube and my backyard is only a little bigger, it is just easier. Plus I mowed professionally for 5+ yrs, so I know the equipment, but don't own anything.

I got my wife a combine push mower, because she doesn't like the Weedeater. And yes they still make them, Scott's made mine, was $100 and is super easy to store, and it runs on home-cookin. And it cuts grass pretty good, but doesn't cut weeds...

    Just got this:

Have about 2 acres of lawn to mow weekly and (2) 2 acre paddocks that will be mowed alternately weekly. So about 4 acres a week. Just got the house last Friday and haven't actually mowed yet.
This is the wife driving it across the lawn with one of the paddocks in the background. The previous owners let it go to hay, so the neighbor will be by in the next week or so to cut both paddocks and the back hay field.

Yeah, the Kohler motors are very good. It just isn't as quiet as I had expected it to be considering we have an old JD at work that runs a Kohler and it seems as loud. I was hoping 30 years of technological improvements would have helped with noise suppression.

I would assume the Kawasaki Vtwin is not quiet either but at least being a Vtwin it is understandable. I would be tempted to run some straight pipes off of it.

well. push mow like 3 small spots. other than that use a 60” kabota z turn. but mom dose not trust me to do all the yard with the Z turn since they don’t have brakes. but we do live kinda on a hill sooo....

also use a stihl weedeater and a stihl backpack blower(STFU on the blower jokes)

edit: would like to know what pool chemicals we use? or that kinda oil we put in everything? just wondering....

A little of this and a little of that.
The wife rides her Cub Cadet 2518 while mowing the front lawn and I push the back lawn with a Toro. Both powered by Kohler engines.

This is my ride. Husqvarna 24hp with 52" deck and powered triple-bagger. I cut about 5 acres weekly. Next one I buy will be a zero turn model, though.
