what do you NOT like about your Tacoma?

You may already know but there are some decent options to fix that with Gentex mirrors. Compass, Temp & homelink is a little pricey but if you don't care about the homelink and / or compass then the options aren't too bad.

 

Yea thanks. I probably wouldn't bother though. I'll just guesstimate when the road is going to freeze. I could use some heated mirrors though....

Yep that's the old fashion way we've managed to do it for years and survived. I ended up putting in one with a temp gauge because I do get a lot of times where I drive through changing elevations and go both above and below freezing point.

Heated mirrors I wouldn't know where to start looking for such a thing

Hmmm don't have it in my '15. It's minor features like this I never even bothered to check for during buying process smh

 

Annoyances:
-Passenger seat belt slaps around violently with the windows down, I need to get a clip for it.
-When connecting to bluetooth audio, sometimes the song info (title/artist/album etc) doesn't pop up. Sometimes I just have to hit the bluetooth option a second time for the info to pop up, sometimes I have to disconnect completely and try again.
-Rarely, the controls on the steering wheel/dash don't work for bluetooth audio. Such as skipping/changing tracks. In reality though, thats probably my POS phone...

Hate: The weird weather app they use now...dumbest thing ever.

 

Same here. I'd rather have a clock too instead of a piece of plastic that says "Tacoma".

 

I didn't like the lack of interior color options. Black is better for outdoorsy type people that get shit dirty. That and the poor gas mileage and slowness. Other than that reliable as all my other Toyota trucks so far

 

Reading this thread makes me wish I had bought a 2013 and parked it until my current truck wears out. Oh well it is off to Tundra land when that happens.

I think my 2016 DCSB 4x4 Auto with the 3.5L V6 takes off pretty slow from a dead stop. I don't expect it to lay down rubber but at least a little peel out. I wondered if the traction control doesn't floor the engine from a stop to prevent wheel spin or it starting off in 2nd gear or... it's actually that pathetic.

I driven my Dad's 05 DCLB 2wd many times and it has more low end torque. The reason why I want low end torque is because when you're on a busy road, waiting for enough space between traffic to make a left turn. I feel like my truck can barely get out of the way.

I am able to adjust and live with it but at least I have good top end power. If I'm already moving 30 to 70 mph and step on it, it really gets up and goes.

 

My 2011 slows down too fast when you let off the gas.. Even down hill, where my other vehicles would gain speed, even my manual chevy, the taco slows down as if you were applying the brakes. It coasts for just a second when you first let off and then its like something engages and feels like you are applying the brakes. The rpms don't change as if to represent a downshift. The truck just does not coast at all.. Its weird feeling to me. I always have to be on the gas. I think I could get better gas mileage if I could coast more down hills and such. So far that's what I dislike the most. Oh and the clunky steering. Lack of power, which isn't really a lack per say.. Its just not quite a V8 like I'm use to

 

This. Feels like I downshifted. Was going to ask the dealer about this as my gas mileage sucks. Plus the cup holders suck. LOL
