Mine is a 2015 Access Cab SR5. I don't like that all the switches are not illuminated. No real outside temperature gauge, that Weather Channel thing doesn't always get a signal. No power after the key is off. Other than that I'm very happy with mine. It was a close one for me between the Tacoma and the Frontier. I went with the Tacoma mainly because I though it had more cab room and was a little nice inside. The Frontier did have more features for less money though.

Already mentioned I'm sure, at least I have seen it a few times over the years....The low non-adjustable seat. I just bought the 1" bushings last night so I am gonna try those out to lift the seat. Link is below.

The loud humming from the windscreen at hwy speeds.
Installed a new mirror with temp sensor/home link. Still amazed a top model doesn't include that.

I love my 96 Tacoma. It's simple, reliable, and cheap to fix. I wish it were a manual and 4wd, but that's on me, because I couldn't pass up a $250 truck.

I'm glad my 2.4L is gutless. I think I'm going fast, but I'm not. Keeps me out of trouble.

Small stuff but annoys me for such an expensive truck

Electro 4wd switch instead of manual like first gen

    Drum brakes

Auto up/down mirror switches on both Windows

Rear window go down like tundra. I wish

I didn't like that ether but for $149 and a Gentex mirror I fixed that. Now I have Auto dimming rear view mirror with compass and outside temp for fairly cheap.

I didn't and don't like the lack of a fold down arm rest in the back of my Double Cab which then should and could have cup holders. Would be easy to have provided that. I can live with that though.

It is an easy fix, but a 35k dollar truck should have that as standard equipment. If this thing cost 20k new I would understand.

I agree with you. But you make your decision based upon what you see and what you can live with and or fix.

Sure. I would much better like the outside temp on the radio display too. That should have been easy enough. Coming from a Tundra Crew I gave up a lot

Tacoma is overpriced, comes with less features for more $$$ than competitors but "it's more reliable and better resale"

It's cheaper to buy a new one than used.

Less horsepower and mpg than competitors.

The 4 banger is seriously lacking modern technology and too underpowered for Access cab 4x4. Slowest thing I ever owned. That's why I got a V6.

No 2nd gen Tacoma junkyards around here because salvage yards told me a totaled wrecked Tacoma still cost 6-7 grand and can't make enough money off parts.

Plastic tie down thing on the bed rail seems weak but haven't broke one off yet...
