I don't like how the center console lid can easily break. I was in a rush a one day and as I was getting into the cockpit, my elbow hit the lid of the center console. The bars that hold it up broke. I also dont like the fact you cant fold in the side mirrors.

Would like carpet that is at least equal to what came in my 02 Tundra. Taco is way more expensive than the Tundra was, but they have cheapend up on some stuff.

I meant I agree with the springs.

but since I'm here. either like the truck and stop bitching, change it to what you want, or trade the dam thing in. not really that hard to understand.

Grey wire and keyless entry. I like stock.
That's stupid. No one is going to mod their truck because something annoys them on it. You really have nothing to offer this thread. Please go now.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I don't mind the whiny thread, sometimes it just feels good to let it out. But that is almost the whole reason I mod my truck is to fix this annoying crap that comes stock with these trucks. We all end up modding for improvement of some sort.

It is a good platform, not a great truck. They are reliable and easy to maintain while having truck-like features.

The only thing I would say I don't like is the poor quality frame and the resultant rust. I had a full size Jimmy and the only washing it got was when I drove thru a puddle and the frame was fine after 20 years(body was falling off), the Tacoma is a constant battle with rust on the frame and both have been driven in the same conditions.

Really just the placement of the dash clock and the seats are kinda crappy. Other than that no major gripes.

My truck doesn't have the factory clock. It used to be a bit annoying when I first bought it, but my new head unit has a clock on it.

I'm actually glad I don't have a factory clock because I'm going to use the space for seat heater switches now.

The thing that pisses me off the most about my first gen Taco is that I can't go to the dealership and buy another one just like it.

There's lots of little things you can pick on, but there's still no other vehicle I'd rather have.

arb bumper, 3 inch spacer lift (it needs to go!), 3 inch OME lift,
I hate that mine is a money pit. It seems to never end. I'm catching up on all the maintenance the previous owners never did. I think I should have it squared away soon though. It's going to the shop tomorrow...Then once I finally get it mechanically squared away I want to drop more into it than I paid for the truck in modifications! Once I get everything done though, my first gen taco will be pretty sick.
