My really dig my 2012, but I wish I took the opportunity to test drive a 2016 6-speed manual. The 2nd gen is so damn clunky feels like a dump truck shifting. I was dead set on getting a 2012-2015 6-speed because they have a proven track record. The 3rd gens have the smaller 3.5 now, and I wasn’t sure about their long term reliability either.
I really wanted the 4.0 anyway for the added torque, but I hear the 3rd gens shift buttery smooth....jealous.

I’ve done a few things to try to help remedy the clunky shifting.
-Changed to redline MT-80 or 90 trans fluid
    -Installed a TRD short shifter
-Installed marlin crawler shifter seat bushing(way too notchy) replaced it with a new OEM bushing
    -Did the accumulator delete
    -Adjusted my clutch free play

I test drove a 2015 6speedwith only 42K on the clock and it was clunky also.

It is what it is a......truck.

I have a 'base' model DCLB. My only regret is not waiting for a TRD model with the same configuration, in a color (not white, black or silver). But I'm getting there:thumbsup: TRD hood and not many would know the difference.

Lifting the truck. As modest a lift as 5100s at .85 and a 1.5” aal changed the handling and not for the better. Thinking about going back to stock.

Kinda regret getting the Taco instead of another Tundra in some cases, but overall it's a better truck for my needs. The space was nice in the Tundra. And the 6 speed is nice too, with the URD short throw kit.

The biggest thing I regret is trying to DIY press the bushings out of my LCAs and reinstall new ones. I ended up wasting $800 by the time I was done, and I just ended up buying two new arms.
