Purchased FatMat off Amazon, much less expensive than Dynamat. 25 sq ft was way more than I needed for the back of the cab, 10 sq ft would do. It cuts easily with a box cutter. It smells strongly of tar when you put it on, but it went away after a couple days. Wear latex gloves!

Looks great! Is the aluminum panel one you had made or is it the one listed in this group buy:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/molle-panel-2nd-group-buy-for-2nd-3rd-gen-rear-seat.410254/

In that thread, it is for 2nd gen and no one has confirmed (yet, I don't believe) where it would work in a 3rd gen.

    Thanks!

I really dig this. How's the sound with those panels removed? Have you noticed any more road noise inside the cab now?

I too have the common Jumper cables, first aid kit, rescue straps and tie downs.
Being a cyclist I also have 2 tires, repair kit, co2 air shots for the rider on the road who leaves home without them. I've helped 2 riders in 5 years of doing it but those two seemed to have really appreciated it.

Also 1L water, protein bars and a sweater. ...the beer never lasts a week.

Big side: mostly the jack and lug nut tool. Also have the receiver shackle wrapped in 2 micro fiber towels and about 8 other micro fiber towels stuffed around and over the jack. 1 pair fine gloves.

Small side: 30 foot 10k working load soft strap. 3 pair heavy gloves. Cheap rope. Safety glasses. Probably a few bags of female pads somewhere down there. Other random stuff I couldn't see

I have a 2nd gen but they must be similar.

Small side back - portable CB, snatch strap, flares, jumper cables, 1/2 gallon of water.
Small side under seat - First aid supplies, flashlight, work light, receiver hitch recovery shackle.
Large side back - Bow saw, MicroStart XP1, bottle jack, bottle jack extensions and pads, wiper blades, cordage, entrenching tool, gloves, rags, starting fluid, tow strap, and misc cargo mgmt stuff. There is a tiny bit of room to spare.
Large side under seat - stock scissor jack and lug wrench plus a towel.

Things like tie down straps, bungies, garbage bags, Frog Toggs, mechanics gloves, leather gloves, Leatherman, more shop rags, safety glasses, go in the bed cubbies and in the doors.

There is also bag containing a 30A pump and full tire repair kit and a pair of heavy boots on the floor in the back seat that I need to make room for.

Sounds no different. I think the rear seats cut down on noise quite a bit when they're up. Granted, I keep the cab vents closed 99% of the time because my A/C is running - I can hear slight road noise when they're open.

I suppose you could tape them. But I prefer to just push this button:

tape might not last because every time you shut a door with the rest closed and the windows up, that door pushes air out of those rubber flaps........at first I thought y'all were talking about the holes in the cubbys for the child seat anchors/latches to keep seatbacks in place. I just stuck a tall piece of weatherstripping to the cab wall that closed those up except behind passenger seat where the RC has that anchor....like this........

As far as road noise, in the RC, I hear no more noise than I did before and the exhaust is as loud as road noise and the rest of the cab's insulation didn't change so that is all still same for me.
