Hey I am having a hard time deciding on how to 'paint' my wheels. Would like to get some feedback from you guys that might have done it personally. I want to know how it will hold up, length wise and daily driven and or offroad. And any other advice comments would be appreciated! Thanks.

bilstien coil overs add aleafs With bolstiens in rear, mickey thompson mtz tires 285/75r16 on 16x8 dick cepek dc2 wheels. Hella black magic 500 lights up front.
Try duplicolor wheel refinish products. I have used them in the past with decent results. In the 1980's I used to just prime, sand, and apply automotive paint and clear coat.

I would not paint the factory alloy wheels. They look better au natural to me.

I want my rims black though and dont want to buy aftermarket wheels, so i need to get them to be black one way or another. Doing all black on my radiant red paint, doing badges all black aswell but thats a different topic. Just looking for advice from people with experience doing one of the options in the poll

I'm gonna use rock guard to paint the polished lip on my wheels. Plastidip didn't last worth shit.

Everyone recommends powder coat eh, I was thinking sanding with heavier grit then medium grit, and paint then with rim paint black probably 4-5 coat then clear coat then do you think I should use primer first?
