Sometimes we get a little mod obsessed here at TW without realizing others aren't so much. If the OP was really into that he would have done so already on his 2016. Seems from his brief post he just wants a simple truck.

2020 on the simple truck, SR, get you new touchscreen with Apple Play/Android Auto, grill, tail light, standard intermittent wipers, and optional LED bedlight.

Are those features important to the OP?

Is that 7000 the total difference including everything ? Including taxes, changing registration, insurance etc. When you drive the new one off the lot it’s then used so now depreciation there too. So i don’t know maybe now you’re up to maybe 10000 for almost the same vehicle.

Wait, maybe see if you warm on your current a bit considering the real overall cost.

A lot of info there guys, the damage is just part of the idea for the trade. The warranty , I keep the accessories I added, it will never be worth more with the black paint it cant even be run through a car wash with out getting scratched up. I will go there, the dam water based paint used on cars can't be brushed up against. personally the deal is just ok, I was hoping it was closer to the 6 grand but they are accepting that with 870 in body damage in the deal, I like the SR I'm in my 60s off roading isn't my thing. this truck came with low trans fluid qt, dry grease points. the trans seams to have an issue the local dealer doesn't think is there, but it has a shift that seams like a slushy shift on take off. the front bumper guard is more of an insurance policy these trucks have a plastic front end for a pedestrian crash event or if some one backs into it in the lots.

Even if the current slushmatic goes, it's not a 7k fix.

But.. To each their own. If you hate black that much and don't mind the financial impact. Go for it.

If you are trading a 2016, I’d trade on a 2020 and actually gain something in the process.

I am driving a completely stock Limited, 4x4. I will never do off road, other than getting to a trailhead or something like that. The main reason I need 4x4 is for snow. The main reason I want a truck is to haul wood once or twice a week. I do, however, like the heated seats, leather and sun roof. Not everyone wants the same stuff.

I probably wouldn't have posted if I didn't same concerns about the value of the trade. the loss would be $175 a month or .95 cents a mile.

Good that you like your truck. Others like theirs too. From simple to complex. Even different colors.

    Edit: forgot to quote you.
