I want to get one. It plugs into the truck's DLC or OBD-II plug, it's located under the driver side dash on the left hand side, behind the hood release lever. If get down and look at the pedals and up a little bit, you can't miss it, it sometimes has a cap on it that says OBD-II

I have had mine for a while and like it. I use it to trouble shoot friends vehicles when codes come up. It helps improve my mileage as well. It is plugged in beneth the cubby/fuse box near your left knee, in the OBDII port. I have mine ontop of my steering column secured with velcor/hook and loop tape.

Look at Maverick's thread under the Towing forum. I mounted mine just like he did. I have a ScanGage in every vehicle I own now. If you pay attention to it, it will save you a fair amount of fuel.

Honestly I kind of regret buying... Yeah its nice to know your mpg, RPM, and temp, but I kind of already know that my mpg sucks, and as long as the temp gauge is in the middle where it should be then I'm ok. I guess I should try using it a little more!

I have mine mounted on the steering wheel column and actually use it instead of my speedometer. I live in Germany where everything is in Kilometers so it helps me out there. I also have it set where it shows me the average miles per gallon so it has actually helped my driving and gas mileage since I can see at what gear and and what speed I get the best gas mileage. It is totally awesome and I would be lost without it. It also helps on the Autobahn to see just how shitty my gas mileage gets when I take it above 110.

I would probably sell it for $100 plus shipping. I just bought it like 3 months ago and it sat in my garage for about a month before i put it in.

    None yet! It's new!
I programmed kind of a scary thing into an XGauge.... I call it "CTT" which means "Cost This Trip". It will reset to zero anytime the ScanGauge is off for around 3 minutes. Basically it tells you what your present trip is costing you for gas - providing of course you saved the gas price the last time you filled up.

It sorts of jerks you into reality when you realize that your 35 mile commute to work in the morning is costing you something over $3 or $4 each way. It's interesting to combine that with the instantaneous MPG and the average MPG. You can save a lot of gas by trying to keep the instantaneous mpg above the average MPG, thus bringing your average mpg up... and saving money.

It's fun to play with on trips. Something to do.
