Just a simple thread to keep and discuss about the value of our trucks. Whether you plan to sell, looking to buy, or just wanna casually discuss truck values with other members, this is for you!

Here's my 04, DC SR5 4x4. Purchased with 75k miles and is currently sitting at 131k. Had frame replaced on Toyota, timing belt/water pump at 90k, new exhaust and a bunch of other little odds and ends but never anything major. GREAT truck, and I have NO desire to leave her in the distant future.
I originally paid $13.5k for her and think I could easily get that or more again if I really wanted to sell. Will have owned it 4 years on November 13, 2018!

I think you could get $13,500-$14,000 out of it here in TN. I just picked up a 2003 pre-runner, v6, double cab 3 weekends ago for $12,300 with 90k miles in great shape.

    Frame?
    Paperwork/receipts for maintenance done?
    Add-ons?
    Exterior/Interior?
You are def still within the 10k - 13k mark but as of late alot of things could be factored in for adjustments.

edit: it would be hard for me to justify putting out 13k if something needs a major overhaul like I'm still going through with my double cab.

frame is spotless, truck is from florida, 1 owner. Had a bed cover(which i have listed for sale in the classified section) and everything else is stock. interior/exterior way above average condition. Truck needed nothing but a driver.

Mine is a 2004 Tacoma 4 door 3.4L with 235,000 miles on it. Had a new timing belt with all the pulleys done couple years ago. Almost traded it in for a 2011 Tacoma 3 summers ago but didn’t at the last minute. Pissed off the car salesman lol oh well he got over it. Other than that Ol Bessy still runs like a new one I’ll probobly keep it as long as I live I hope:D

Yup, have all paperwork still. But have no intentions on selling in the distant future. I created this thread mainly for the forum as a whole to discuss the topic openly.

My 2002 Prerunner 4door has 65k miles on it currently ,I bought it from the original owner 2 years ago for $11,500 when it had 55k miles

With the low miles and the things I've added to it I can easily sell it for $20k , I've been offered stupid money for my truck . I've got paperwork from all services/repairs done since bought from the dealer even have the Dealer window sticker and its in pristine condition

    Here's my two trucks - both 1998's. One is a converted PreRunner 4x4 2.7l with 92,000 miles and the other one is a 5-lug 3.4l v6 5-speed with 450,000 miles.

The PreRunner was my dad's so I didn't pay a dime for that one, and the 5-lug was $600. Weird thing is with that mileage and condition KBB says the 5-lug is worth in the range of $3,000. These trucks just do not lose value.

My PreRunner as a 2WD was worth $12,000. Now as a 4WD I can easily get $15,000 for it.

A couple months ago I was offered $16K for my Dcab. I politely passed. But recently I’m looking for a first gen extended cab manual.

    Ah, ok.

Yeah the amt of money I put in I doubt I'll get back if I have to sell. I'll only sell if I am forced to.

I bought mine for 5800 and I have about 9250 total into it (bought price and services). Has 207k and I would not take a cent less than 9200 no matter. My maintenance with new OEM parts was overkill, but I like to know exactly what I have

K75 S, I had one in the same color in the early 2000's which I traded in on the 1150RT I currently ride.

Unless someone is waving a handful of cash in front of you, they're prob. full of shit when offering 'stupid money'. Stupid people don't have stupid money.

I suppose it's true......I've seen the vintage Mustang market go up and down quite a few times in my life.

Every time new ones jump up a lot in price, there's a bit of resurgence quite a bit like what's going on with Taco's. (I'm not paying 40K for a truck to haul and beat on)

When a new one hits 100K dollars, I guess ours will be worth 50K if perfect, stock and original (or OEM) everything.
