    I would think one would have to have a really strong reason (family, successful meth lab, etc) to live that far north! You sir are one tough bastard. :thumbsup:

    Haha it’s not so bad.. It’s a peaceful place to live. We have 7% of Alaska’s population but are almost the same size geographically so it’s pretty barren and empty of people, but full of animals. A win I’d say.

    Living in Calgary 70+ years. Yes we get chinooks but they are few and far between. The weather doesn't warm up just because you need your vehicle which for most is every day. Global warming doesn't affect winter here. It's often-30 or colder for 7 days or more at a stretch. Not trying for a pi..ing match but you need a block heater in most of Alberta period.

    Truth. I’ve also lived in Cochrane and Fort Mac. Gets pretty freaking cold in winters. To not have a block heater would be silly.

    I agree and disagree cause I live in Ontario now but then I lived in Calgary 43 years ago and don't remember it being that cold . I do remember BBQing in my T-shirt in mid January lol no shit.
