What do you use to shine your tires?

Yes I know this and agree dog piss puts a semi shine on mine as well lol!

And I will never understand why people dont like to take care of their trucks, even though they get it muddy/dusty every other weekend.

I use a commercial brand that is clear, no sling and it dries to a non greasy look. It is designed to keep the natural new black tire look. This stuff is amazing and I have been using it for 27 years in my 39 years old detailing business. I used everything on the market as samples are sent to me weekly and I try them and end up giving it away or throwing it away. One good thing is this stuff last for months and I buy it by a 5 gallon bucket. I always spray it on a tire applicator or by a round soft sash brush, then wipe it down.

Was thinking more of a truck driver lingo of “wetting the tarrrr…”

but yeah… lol!

 

Tire dressing of choice applied with a detail factory curveball brush. Carpro PERL, Amsoil Mudslinger, or Lucas Slickmist tire and trim shine and my go-to's for dressing. The reason for the curveball brush is it gets into every spot on a sidewall without overspray and can apply a light, thin coat that will dry to a matte finish. The goal is not extreme shine, just protection from sun and to make cleaning the tires easier.

 

I use dirt...

 

Out of date brake fluid.

Wipe on with a sponge, wipe off with a throw away rag.

No sling, 'new tire new rubber' clean look, good for the rubber.

One of the things I remember from the 60's.
