Here in Oregon you can't pump your own gas. Most attendants just drop the cap against the vehicles. I cut all the tethers so they can't do that.

Most people post outrageous things that they know will never make it into a Tacoma, but your list is realistic. I can see any and all of these features be added within this generation cycle.

    Well done, sir.

Very good list here and things I think are very reasonable to expect on a new model year withing the same generation.

They say it creats jobs. They pump gas but nothing else. Would rather do it myself most of the time.

Honestly, I would not change much, if anything.

The only thing I might change is adding manual height adjustment to both seats and lumbar to the passenger seat. That would go a long way towards being able to dial in seat comfort and at the same time, eliminate a complaint that has followed the Tacoma forever. Personally, I don't have an issue with the seats, but I often have passengers that struggle to get comfy in them.

The only thing I'd really want to see is, instead of adding new features, they focus on fixing the issues that many have complained about on the '16 and some '17 models. They should leave the trucks as is and focus on getting the QDR back to Tacoma standards.

I love my '17 Sport and haven't had a single issue so far. I like a minimalist truck with just the basic features that I use. That's why I chose the Tacoma. Toyota has always had a tenancy to keep older tech in their vehicles and seem to be behind the curve compared to others. But this is the reason that they have always had the best QDR. That is why I buy Toyota and I don't want to see that change.

don't the 17's have a power tailgate lock as well
    as a power rear slider?

to the OP, you're never going to see a v8 in a a taco.
