I was at the Ozzy/Metallica show in Long Beach (Ultimate Sin tour).
After the show, walking across the lot, all you could hear was "OLD MAN GOT HIS ASS KICKED!" from the Metallica fans.

But hey... I loved Dio, but I still started an "ahhh-zeee ahhh-zee ahhh-zeee" chant at a Dio concert.
The stoned fuckers around me thought that Ozzy was the 2nd opener and really got it going :D

And speaking of that song... I've got it on the SD card in the GPS on my bike.
The Garmin runs into the aux input of the Kenwood HU... 200w HU with four Polk 6.5 coax drivers in the fairing.

So we're on a ride, and I've had Metallica positively cranked for 50 miles (cranked like I can hear it clearly at 80mph).
So we're rolling through Malibu, and just as one song is ending, we roll to a stop at a light.
Bikes are idling, I can hear the other bikes, Malibu residents and beach-goers walking on the sidewalk... and at ear-splitting volume, there's Hetfield....

    SO FUCKING WHAT!!!!!!!!!!

    You're old.

My buddy saw Randy's last show here in LA.
My first "real" concert was with my 2nd wife at the Forum.

    Ratt opened for Bon Jovi.

But by far, my most memorable "concert" was September 25th, 1980.

Darrell Mansfield was playing the Senior Quad at my high school during lunch.
During the set, someone ran up to the stage. It was obvious that something was wrong.

Darrell announced that John Henry Bonham had been found dead.
They then went into a Zep medley that lasted until the end of lunch break.

Wow, oh yeah Bonham was hands down the hardest hitting drummer i've ever heard , very unique style too, the only drummer ever that had & could carry beat but had no real rhythm... amazing
