ok so long story short, I have an '18 Sport with Sonar and i backed into a tree yesterday.. what i was wondering is, what does everyone do with the OEM bumper?....the only damage is the actual bumper ( metal piece) the side caps and the top plastic step piece seem to not be broke or bent and i didn't hit any of the sonar pieces.. i would upgrade to steel but funds aren't there yet and i don't want to ride around without one or a slightly bent one... so if anyone knows if i can straighten this one out enough to make it work or have one laying around you want to get rid of let me know..

    Pics would help.

Also, most folks will sell parts of the bumper off to others so offset the cost of a new bumper.

I have a bumper that I put up in my attic after upgrading. The plastics I sold off, but I have the actual steel part. It is in perfect condition. I am located in Virginia however. Maybe you can find one closer to you or if you make your way this way I would gladly sell this one.

Sell it in one piece locally like on Craigslist it’s the easiest.

I learned the hard way and sold it online for $250 online and it cost me $160 to ship, no shit. Fedex ground was cheapest. It’s a huge oversized item and they kill you on shipping.

Also. I tried selling it in pieces but I got so many damn questions just decided to sell the whole thing together.

Sell the whole thing together locally and have them pick it up.

Oops, saw you were looking for one. When you get the money, I’d invest in an aftermarket black steel bumper, there’s plenty of companies making them, like 10+.

Just drive around the way it is for the time being, I’m betting if you replace it with another plastic bumper, something like what you just did will happen again.

Mine is cluttering up my garage. Along with my OEM tube steps, tires and wheels, suspension, etc. I've tried putting it all on Craigslist, Facebook selling groups, etc. but no takers. Just scammers. I live in a very sparsely populated area.

yeah pics would help but the bend is only slight and plus i was mad that it even happened but oh well shit happens i guess... i'll replace it with OEM if i can come across one close enough it doesn't cost me a days drive or the same cost it would be to get a steel one... yeah shipping sucks on most things..i've looked up craigslist, FB marketplace and on here's marketplace and never saw one so i just thought i'd ask..i see so many people upgrade bumpers, lights, wheels and so forth and always wondered what everyone does with the OEM stuff..

also, seems like everyone that lives near me ( within 2 states) when they do sell something you'd be cheaper and better off upgrading or going to dealership cause they want full price for everything they sell or never answer the phone
