What does long term taco ownership look like?

Sounds like a anomaly. Or you are harder on then truck then you think. 12 yrs of 1200-1800 dollar repairs sounds excessive. I might have sold it at the height of ridiculousness.

just bought my 2nd gen, 109k miles on it and only got it like 5min ago so ask me in a few years.. but.. this one still runs like its new.

i know that because i had a 2015 which i bought brand new. the 4.0 is the best thing ever, imo, i have complete faith the vast majority of these trucks will make it to 300k just fine

 

I bought my 2014 TRD Sport 4x4 new in July of 2014. I now have 220k miles on her. I do nothing but follow the routine maintenance. Only had to do brakes at about 150k. I expect to hit 300k before I sell it.

 

At this point meant “lately.”

the last 3 years has been one thing after the other. Even Toyotas get old.
