What does this button do?

Just noticed this today, and have no idea what it is for, what does it set when you push that button?

It's the tpms threshold reset. You should never have to touch it..

from the look of the symbol.. I would say (now this is just m) but I would say its to reset your low psi for your tire sensor.. like on cold days the low pressure light will come on and I assume you reset it if you are aired down or want it to be the normal..

 

It will deflate all your tires! Don't do it.

 

As long as all of your tires are at the correct temp, you can reset it. I had a Tundra for 7 years and reset mine. No issues. You shouldn't have to reset it though.

I would, but this time of year they'd be dirty the next day, come summer I am going to detail the interior, it needs it bad, full of dog hair.

TPMS is what that be. If your dash light comes on you will need to press that to reset the system after you address the low pressure issue.

 

not true. after filling my tires back to the desired range the light disappeared without pushing the button. i don't recall if it was upon the next keystart or at the time of fill but the end result is the same
