I appreciate the clarification. I'm thinking of just tearing those stickers off. Now I don't feel like putting in anymore money into it. Its not real! :( I'm def. Gonna look into what the dealer charged me if so I want my money back and then some and then ill go and get me a real trd OR in black or speedway blue. If only my wife would hurrry witht the damn grocery shopping!

I wouldnt get rid of it because of that, you got a really good deal if thats what you paid. You can get some bilstien 5100's that are way better than the trd shocks and you can get a locker for something like 1000 or 1500. If you are going to sell it tho I recommend leaving the stickers on it, youll get more money that way :D

sorry dude better to find out now then after you have put a bunch of cash into it i guess. honestly tho I barely ever use my locker or my ac outlet, and if you get some 5100's you will be rollin nice. I wouldnt worry about it too much cause that price you paid was phenomenal.

Yea I don't have a reason to use a locker. I just wanted to have one "just cuz" well only thing to do now is put bigger tires, shocks, rims and that's it. No more. Yea I guess I paid a pretty good price. I'm paying 277 a month for mine, and according to the bank, it was worth 18,500. I got mine for 13000. Eh guess I can't complain. :)

Sorry man, but I would rather you know the truth. Like Nad said, throw some 5100's under it and I would recommend a powertrax locker. You still have a great looking truck.

LOL, Sockmonkey can make you one if you really want it.

The beautiful thing about these Tacoma's is how much aftermarket support there is out there. You can make that truck BETTER than a TRD OR if you really wanted too.

I think that is for the Rocket Launcher - Looks something like this but a bit more compact. Search the boards for "rocket launcher" IIRC someone has done a detailed write-up on this one.

If you decide to do something like a Powertrax or any other 'locker' that doesn't have a engage/disengage, I hope you plan on trailering it to where you ride. True lockers are very limiting since you no longer have a 'differential' and the truck will not power correctly on turns.

Lockers are meant for the drag strip. Differentials are meant for traveling in any other direction than pure straight and bowling alley level. In other words, it is very rare that a truck's wheels (even on the same axle) are traveling at the same speed.

Well, I could have been quicker on the response but I'm slow. Plus I wanted to confirm before I just blurt something out there. I'll do better in the future... Maybe.

If your invoice says TRD package you paid for it one way or another regardless of how good of a deal you got. I would raise hell at the dealership and get some money back. Just my .02

    Good Luck
