What does this electrical connector attached to the clutch pedal do?

    Snugtop cab high canopy.
    If it's depressed when the clutch is disengaged it's probably the switch that keeps you from starting the truck or putting it in 4 low without disengaging the clutch.

    disconnected plug and tried to start w/o clutch in and it didnt start. prolly the 2nd one.

    Leave it......don't F with it.

    It is a safety interconnect to prevent starting while in gear and clutch engaged.

    Haven't had a manual in years but my old Acura cancelled the cruise control with a slight press of the clutch. Maybe that's it. I really wouldn't mess with it. I'm sure it has an important purpose.

    The pedal down switch is the clutch cancel switch, if you have cruise control you will also have a pedal full up switch, which turns off CC when clutch is depressed.
